After we left Lego land we headed to Naomi's version of heaven - The American Girl doll store! My parents gave Naomi the Bitty Baby American Girl doll for Christmas and she has been crazy about it! So...when we told her we going to the American Girl doll store she started studying the catalog Bitty Baby came with at Christmas. HG and I decided to opt out of the cafe where it would've cost $80+ for us to eat - Naomi was very disappointed about this, but I think she still had a good time!
As soon as she saw the store from the street she took off her coat and started heading in the store as fast as she could. I had to force her to a stop to get this picture!
She LOVED all the doll displays, but her favorites were the ones she could actually play with and of course, the Bitty Baby room!
This place has thought of everything! When HG checked-in our coats and bags they offered Ethan a NintendoDS game to use for free while at the store. Ethan loved it and was completely mesmerized by it - we just steered him in the right direction as we explored every nook of this HUGE store!
HG will say that he was just fixing the NintendoDS for Ethan, but we know the truth!!!
There is even a doll hair salon which Naomi thought was incredible, BUT Bitty baby doesn't have hair! So, we asked the ladies working if we could just get a picture and they told us they offered a $5 cleaning, bow making, and pedicure kit for Bitty Baby. What can I say? We didn't do the cafe so we had to do the hair salon.
After so much fun we went to have some Chicago pizza for dinner. Although, HG's favorite is Uno's we went to Gino's East which is suppose to be very kid friendly and much larger making the wait time considerably less. We got there right in time and walked right in without a wait. It takes 45 minutes to cook a Chicago pizza so we had lots of fun dressing Bitty Baby in her new clothes....

Finally, we made our mark on Gino's East by participating in a Chicago tradition - letting the kids write their names on some part of the restaurant!
