Chicago - Day one (part A)
There is a silver lining to having a daddy with a job that requires so much traveling - hotel and airline points! So...since this week is spring break for Ethan's school HG also took off and we are using some of those points to take a mini-vacation! We decided to travel to Chicago where the Lego and American Girl doll store are located along with lots of museums and other exciting things to explore. Although our plane ride was pretty rough and Ethan is getting over strep, the kids were wonderful travelers and real troopers through this very long day. We started our Chicago adventure with what the kids have been most excited about - the Lego and American Girl store! Ethan LOVES Legos, he is constantly building! He also LOVES Star Wars, when he isn't building he's fighting with his lightsaber or quizing HG on the Star Wars saga! So...put Star Wars and Legos together and you have a little boy in heaven.
The store had a life size DarthVader that left Ethan speechless, which NEVER happens to our chatterbox!
R2D2 got an "Awesome!"
Dinosaurs, the city of Chicago, and lots of other amazing Lego creations left all of us in awe! But I liked the Lego people sitting on benches scattered throughout the mall.

Throughout the store were tables filled with Legos for the children to build whatever they could imagine. Ethan could've stayed there all day!
Naomi isn't quite the dedicated fan of Legos that Ethan is, so we were happy to find pink flowers at the tables, something our legos at home do not have. She dug out every pink flower she could to surround her Lego princess castle which kept her busy for quite some time while Ethan enjoyed an hour and a half of Lego land!
