Book Character Day

There is nothing wrong with your computer screen. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to the outer limits when it's book character day at school!

One of Naomi's favorite books is about a little girl that eats one too many pink cupcakes and wakes up completely pink! So...when book character day came along I had little doubt that she would want to be Pinkalicous! It wasn't hard to put the costume together, she has PLENTY of pink we just added some pink makeup, hair spray, and some homemade pink wings! She loved it!

It was a little more difficult figuring out which book character with Ethan. There aren't many distinct boy characters in younger children's books. Plus, he's a little funny about dressing up so we couldn't do anything too crazy. Last year he was The Cat in the Hat.

But when I found a GIANT purple pen and told him he could be Harold and the Purple Crayon he was sold. He loved the idea of being called Harold (just like Daddy) and getting to carry "the biggest pen he's ever seen"!
