The kids were amazed at the size of the rockets and getting to see real astronaut suits!
They loved getting inside the space capsule and pretending to take off and they thought it was funny to see that the astronauts have to sleep standing up in a sleeping bag that is attached to the wall.
Ethan LOVED pretending to land the space shuttle (apparently it was sooo intense he had to bite his nails)! But...his favorite part was a kiddie ride that simulated landing on the moon.
Naomi , however, preferred landing on the moon her own way in a stationary rocket!
After leaving Huntsville we headed to Panama City Beach, Florida for a few relaxing days at the beach! Naomi LOVED sitting in my lap on the inner-tube and riding the waves. She pretended she was riding a boat and the entire time she told her "matey" where to push her or as she called herself - "Captain Princess"! Ethan LOVED riding the boogie board and "surfing". He even started using surfer language calling out, "Hey Dude!"
We had a wonderful time enjoying the beach - there were only two problems! HG apparently forgot to put sunscreen on his feet one day. At one point Naomi said, "Daddy, I just can't stop looking at your feet!" For the second problem you have to double-click on the photo. Do you see it? That teeny-tiny little crab! Well every time Naomi saw one of those tiny little crabs anywhere close to her she would go into a screaming, dancing fit!
Our condo was located on the beach and right behind the parking lot was a salt water lake. So we took our leftover bread to the boat dock to feed the fish. We saw a ton of fish, big crabs (since they were in the water these didn't bother Naomi), and we even saw a stingray!
And because this blog entry hasn't had enough photos (HA!) I'll add just two more!
