Last week we all went to a Walgreen's to get flu shots - we had the flu last year and it was awful!!! HG went first for his shot. Ethan - after some hesitation- agreed to go second. He flinched slightly, but otherwise toughed-it-out really well. We all praised him for doing such a good job. Next was Naomi's turn. Poor Naomi - after watching HG and Ethan get shots without reacting much, I think she was expecting that the shot would not hurt at all! First the nurse went to give the shot and Naomi howled and jerked her arm away. HG had to hold her arm while the nurse gave the shot. Needless to say Naomi was really crying!! Ethan was watching the whole thing. The first time Naomi flinched, Ethan reacted by hiding his face. But when Naomi started crying, Ethan began to tear up and cry a little too! Isn't that something? Getting the shot didn't make him cry, but seeing his little sister in pain did! What a sweet Big Brother!!
